2009 Willow Crest Pinot Gris
The latest vintage of this signature Willow Crest wine
The winemaker at Willow Crest Winery has decades of grape growing experience and has honed his technique for making great wine. One of the grapes Willow Crest loves to focus on is Pinot Gris. As such, it has rapidly become one of their signature wines. The 2009 vintage continues this esteemed tradition. It pours as a beautiful, brilliant yellow and fresh scents of tropical fruits, most notably pineapple rise from the glass. Exhibiting what has been termed the classic Willow Crest style, the palate has dry, fruity notes of Granny Smith apples, white peach, honey and melon. The finish is satisfying yet leaves you excited to take your next sip. Its refreshing nature makes a perfect accompaniment to spicy (perhaps Asian?) cuisine.
