2008 Casa Crebar Sauvignon Blanc
Chile's Maule Valley produces outstanding Sauvignon Blanc
Chile is quietly becoming a premier producer of Sauvignon Blanc in the southern hemisphere. The Maule Valley in Chile is one of Chile’s regions that is particularly partial to this French grape. Cool winds off of the country’s Pacific coast protect the grapes from the heat of the sun and provide excellent growing conditions. Casa Crebar utilizes these conditions to produce a Sauvignon Blanc that is ripe, juicy and crisp in the classic style of Sauvignon Blanc. Peach, pear and fresh cut grass are on the nose. Fresh citrus and melon are the highlights of the palate which finishes cleanly and crisply for a classic and pleasing Sauvignon Blanc experience. It is best enjoyed well chilled with hot and spicy cuisine or grilled seafood.
